The MONTEVERDI hai 450 GTS was a further developed version of the original type 450 SS with, among other modifications, reduced weight and a power increase from the original 390 to 450 DIN bhp.

The wheelbase was lengthened by 5 cm, providing more interior room.

Like the 426 Hemi engine's aluminum cylinder heads, which were produced in a limited series for racing purposes, additional components of the drive train were now also fabricated out of aluminum.

A timed top speed of 295 km/h was attained and despite this exceptional performance the hai 450 GTS, unlike similar cars of competing marques, was equipped with an air conditioning unit.

1992: MONTEVERDI hai 650 F1

1992: In that year Peter Monteverdi created the MONTEVERDI hai 650 F1 super sportscar which was based on the technology of his former MONTEVERDI Onyx Formula 1 cars. Produced in a limited series, all body components were fabricated out of carbon fiber, which resulted in an extremely low weight of only 550 kg for a power output of 650 bhp.
